Inequality is a pervasive issue in the American education system, and many low-income schools struggle to offer resources and advanced classes to their students. While some students have access to expensive test prep, tutoring services, and class support, millions of students are left to study without a support system, preparatory materials becoming a critical tool for self-studying. The Traveling Pages team is committed to addressing the achievement gap, shown to directly stem from a lack of resources and materials at a low socioeconomic level. While some of our peers bragged about destroying their valuable SAT, AP, and Regents books, we saw these materials as an opportunity to donate to students who need support outside of school, creating another avenue for review instead of callous wastefulness.
